Crafting inspiring environments for our students.

Students should have a sense of pride and belonging, and a welcoming environment helps to achieve that goal. When John Adams High School began its conversion from one large high school to six specially focused Small Learning Communities, it was the perfect opportunity to rethink the school's overall branding.

Challenge:

Express the community spirit of John Adams High School as a whole while creating learning environments for six specially focused Small Learning Communities.

Results:

By giving each Small Learning Community its own individual color and bringing those communities together under one multi-colored coat of arms, the branding simultaneously expresses individualism and the feeling of being part of a whole. Applying the banners to the entrance of the school at a commanding scale helps to greet the students with a welcoming reminder that they belong to an important educational institution.

School pride is a powerful motivator.
